Ateneans conquer the 36th Annual National Summer Conference and Work Camp

April 23-27, Ibay Zion Hotel, Mines View, Baguio City

Three members of the Blue Eagle Publications of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University High School represented the university in the 36th Annual National Summer Conference and Work Camp held on April 23-27, 2014 at Ibay Zion Hotel, Baguio City. These students are Cyril Concepcion, John Louize Guban, and Hans Xavier Wong. Different Literary workshops and competitions were conducted by professors coming from various universities in the country during the seminar. This year’s theme was “Say Yes! Surpassing Limits and Unleashing the Power of the Filipino Youth”.

Cyril Concepcion won 1st place in News Writing Contest and was awarded as Best Theatre Actor, John Louize Guban won 1st place in Extemporaneous Speaking Contest and was awarded Best News Anchor and Hans Xavier Wong won 1st place for Essay Writing Contest.

The Children’s Museum and Library Incorporated (CMLI), in collaboration with Teacher Advisers’ Association of the Philippines Incorporated (TAAPI), annually hold the National Summer Conference and Workcamp to strengthen the engagements of the Filipino youth from private and public schools across the country through various workshops and competitions.


The Ateneo de Zamboanga University High School congratulates Cyril Concepcion for winning 1st place in News Writing Contest and Best Theatre Actor, John Louize Guban, 1st place Extemporaneous Speaking Contest and Best News Anchor and Hans Xavier Wong, 1st place Essay Writing Contest in the recently concluded 36th Annual National Summer Conference and Workcamp last April 23-27, 2014 at Ibay Zion Hotel, Baguio City, Philippines
