Another win for Ateneo de Zamboanga University, as one of our students won the citywide champion title during the 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Citywide Eliminations, which took place October 22, 2024, at the LM Metro Hotel in Tetuan, Zamboanga.
Milo Macrohon Quidilla, a Bachelor of Science in Biology (BSBIO) freshman, outperformed his opponents in all rounds of the competition, making only one error in the difficult round. Mitchie Shaye Lim Macrohon and Althea Tala J. Bernardo, both Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSAc) students, came in second and fifth place, respectively.
A total of fifteen freshmen students from five different schools and universities took part in the competition. Dr Kreanne Falcasantos-Diaz, mathematics chairperson under CSITE guided the three young winners and will continue to coach Milo and Mitchie for the PSQ Regional Finals this coming November 8, 2024.
