Ateneo students dominated the 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz Regional Championships, taking both the championship title and 1st runner up at the event held at the Crystal Ballroom of the Grand Astoria Hotel in Zamboanga City on November 8, 2024.
Both Mitchie and Milo ended up with the same score in the final round. However, breaking the tie, Mitchie Shaye Macrohon, a BS Accountancy student, secured the championship title, while Milo Quidilla, our very own BS Biology student, claimed 1st runner up.
Mitchie will represent Region IX in the 28th Philippine Statistics National Final on December 5, 2024 in Metro Manila, Philippines.
With the guidance and expertise of their coach, Dr. Kreanne F. Diaz, the department head of Mathematics, Mitchie and Milo were able to secure the titles. Dr. Kreanne will continue to coach Mitchie as she prepares for the upcoming national championship.
