AdZU’s OA-Knee-Mo Wins Big at PSC X: 3rd Place, Best Logo & Tech for Good Award

The Philippine Startup Challenge (PSC) National Finals, held on December 3-4, 2025, in Clark, Pampanga, brought together regional representatives to compete and showcase their innovations. Team OA Knee-mo!, composed of Biomedical Engineering students John Timothy N., Suelan, Abdulaziz I. Abdukahil, and Adrienne Alexis L. Arado, with coaches Engr. Abdul Hadi H. Nograles and Engr. Abigail Joy C. Subido proudly represented Region IX, securing an impressive 3rd place finish. In addition, they were awarded the Best Startup Logo and the prestigious Tech For Good Award, presented by Huawei, which recognizes the startup’s significant social impact.

OA-Knee-Mo is an innovative project developed by AdZU students to assist individuals suffering from knee osteoarthritis. The startup provides accessible tools for monitoring, assessing, and managing the condition—helping users detect symptoms early, track knee mobility, and manage pain more effectively. The project’s goal is to improve movement and enhance the overall quality of life for its users.

This victory marks a significant milestone for Region IX, ending a five-year drought since its last top-5 placement in the PSC in 2020. It highlights the region’s emerging talent and growth in the fields of technology and innovation.The College of Science, Information Technology, and Engineering (CSITE) extends its heartfelt congratulations to the talented students, mentors, and the entire Engineering Department for this remarkable achievement. This success is a testament to the value of striving for excellence in the spirit of Magis—doing everything to the best of one’s ability and with others.
