AdZU RUCJ COL Testimonial Dinner for 2024 Bar Exams Passers

“Your service is not just for those who can afford your fees. It is also for those who have nothing but their dignity – the widows who seek justice, the laborers fighting for fair wages, the wrongly accused who need a voice… You didn’t just choose to be lawyers – God chose you.” – Fr Ernald M Andal, SJ

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University Rosendo U Castillo Jr College of Law (RUCJ COL) brought together professors, admin members, staff, and esteemed guests for a Testimonial Dinner in honor of the university’s 2024 Bar Examinations passers. This joyous occasion was held on February 4, 2025, 6 PM to 10 PM at the Convention Hall II of the Astoria Regency Hotel, Barangay Pasonanca, Zamboanga City.

Opening the night was a welcome address by the RUCJ COL Dean Atty Ma Corazon J Montemor followed by a keynote message by the University President Fr Ernald M Andal, SJ.

Sharing inspiring stories filled with life lessons, realizations, and reflection on their personal journeys towards becoming Ignatian law practitioners were the event’s honorees – Atty Maria Florinda, Atty Nishan Aharuddin Imlan, Atty Jimuel Annuar Jamdani, Atty Natasha Batiancila Omar, and Atty Jessy Sahibil Sahali – the RUCJ COL 2024 Bar Exam passers.

Members of the RUCJ COL faculty also shared messages of encouragement to the new lawyers and challenged them to be not just lawyers of excellence, but also be lawyers with an understanding and discerning heart.

It was a night filled with the air of thanksgiving, camaraderie, and hope for the future and was made even more special with the presence of loved ones and friends. The words shared by the honorees will surely empower the next batch of attorney hopefuls who will soon be writing and sharing their own success stories.

AdZU RUCJ COL’s commitment to producing proficient and skilled law practitioners empowered by the ideals of Ignatian Spirituality continues to be evident with this new batch of intrepid Blue Eagles. As you enter this exciting stage in your career as lawyers, we hope that you continue to hold the values of AdZU to heart and be a ray of hope to the underrepresented. Let your efforts be done always for God, the country, and your fellowmen.

Congratulations, our new Ignatian Lawyers!
