AdZU Library hosts in-campus summer reading program

The librarians of the Fr Jose T. Bacatan SJ Library hosted a summer reading program on May 5 to 10 2014 for children who have difficulty in reading. The recipients of this program were thirteen grade school students from barangay Camino Nuevo. The program started on May 5 with activities that included a short story film viewing, dancing, and library tour. The second day was focused on the reading activities. Each of the five librarians handled a group of about three students. The activity culminated on May 10, 2014 with a showcase of the students’ talents. The students were also given school supplies to help them prepare for the opening of classes.

The teacher-librarians were Lynnie Calingacio, American Corner Librarian, Marjorie Himor, Circulation Librarian, Emelina Tuazon, Periodical Librarian, Nikko Ballovar, Reference Librarian and Florinda T. Tabanao, Library Director.

This program was made possible through the assistance of the Barangay Camino Nuevo Chairman, Mr. Antonio Deles and trusted secretary Mr. Charlie Tubo.
