ACES Joins Green Beat Caravan Zamboanga

February 28, 2025 – Ateneo de Zamboanga University, through the Ateneo Center for Environment and Sustainability (ACES), was invited to take part in the Green Beat Caravan: An Environmental Journalism Program for Campus Journalists Workshop in Zamboanga City. This intensive training gathered participants to explore environmental journalism, covering topics such as environmental reporting, multimedia storytelling, and hope-based communication.

The workshop featured interactive discussions and hands-on exercises designed to equip participants with the skills to craft impactful environmental stories. Through these activities, they strengthened their ability to communicate pressing environmental issues with accuracy and depth.

As part of this initiative, ACES also participated in Usapang Kalikasan: A Multi-Stakeholder Roundtable Discussion on the Local Environment Landscape held on February 28 (Friday) at the Fr. Ernesto Cerretero Conference Room, Ateneo de Zamboanga University. ACES Director, Mr. Emir V. Epino, joined as a panelist, sharing insights on the current environmental landscape and key challenges faced in the region. The discussion brought together various stakeholders, fostering meaningful conversations on collaborative environmental action.
