Absences and Tardiness

Tardiness means lateness for the first period in the morning or in the afternoon as well as in-between periods. A student who has been absent from or late for class for any reason will not be admitted to class without presenting the ADMIT-TO-CLASS SLIP signed by the Director of Student Services or his/her assistant.

A student who has been absent will not be given an ADMIT- TO-CLASS slip unless he/she presents an excuse letter signed by his/her father/mother or guardian.

 

Sick Call/Sick Leave

A student who does not feel well asks permission from the teacher for him/her to go to the school clinic. If the school nurse recommends the student to go home, he/she must secure a Gate Pass fro the Director of Student Services. If the student is advised NOT to go home, he/she will be sent back to class with an ADMIT-TO-CLASS slip signed by the school nurse.

 

Cutting Class/es

A student who leaves the classroom or leaves a school function which takes the place of class time (e.g. masses, contest, film viewing. Reading of Honors, Intrams, etc.) without the permission of the Moderator or the Director of Student Services incurs a class cut which is sanctioned by suspension.
