The Ateneo de Zamboanga University recently concluded Career Fair 2025 with the theme “Work with Faith, Serve with a Heart.” The event commenced with a launching ceremony and ribbon-cutting on March 19, 2025, at the Multi-Purpose Covered Courts 1 (MPCC 1), Salvador Campus, La Purísima spearheaded by the College Guidance and Counseling Office and Alumni and Career Excellence Office. Invited companies from various industries—including banks, schools, hospitals, and private enterprises—welcomed Atenean job seekers, offering them valuable employment opportunities.
The College Guidance and Counseling Office, in partnership with the Alumni and Career Excellence Office campaigned and aimed to connect graduating students with potential employers, providing them with valuable opportunities. It also allowed students to experience the interview process firsthand, helping them prepare for future job applications with confidence. In addition, junior-level students seeking internships also participated in the event, gaining exposure to potential career paths and professional networking opportunities.
Notably, alumni were also given the opportunity to connect with employers, with 29 alumni signing up for the event and three applicants hired on the spot.
The event was also attended by representatives from the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) – Zamboanga City and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), further strengthening efforts to create more employment opportunities for Ateneans.
With this initiative, the university hopes to empower its students and alumni by bridging the gap between education and employment, equipping them with the opportunities needed to build meaningful careers and contribute to society.
