‘Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu!
Ramadhan, the month of fasting, reflection, worship, and
sacrifice is here upon us again. In this period of spiritual cleansing and
sincere devotion to Allah, our brothers and sisters in the Islamic faith fast
during the daylight hours from dawn until sunset and spend the night in
communal worship.
Thus, in the spirit of solidarity and dialogue, the
Ateneo de Zamboanga University supports our Muslim brothers and sisters — not
only the members of our community but also the Muslims of Zamboanga City,
Mindanao and other parts of the country, and the rest of the world — in their
observance of the holy month and wish them a blessed and blissful Ramadan.
