For a country located along the
typhoon belt in the Pacific, the Philippines is visited by numerous typhoons
every year. Having an early warning system like the AdZU ALeRTO is very
critical for LGUs in preventing adverse effects of flooding.

Mindanao: Zambasulta for enabling Local Disaster Risk Reduction
and Management Officers (LDRRMO) in the Municipalities of Zamboanga del Norte;
Zamboanga Sibugay; and Zamboanga del Sur manage disaster prevention initiatives
through the deployment of the ALeRTO Early Warning Device.
