I
thank the organizers of these two important institutional events: the Campus Ministry Office and the Formation Team, the Human Resource Administration and
Development Office, and the Junior
High School Unit.
In
view of this, the last day of classes
for the Basic Education and Higher
Education units shall be on December
20 (THURSDAY). Since December 24, 25, 31 and January 1 are already government-mandated
non-working holidays, I am declaring the following as non-working days for the
AdZU community: December 26- 29 and
January 2-5.
Thus,
from December 22 to January 05, the University Policy on Campus Lockdown/Shutdown
shall take effect. This means the buildings will be locked down, utilities will
be shut-off, and entry into the campus will be restricted only to those with
written permission from the President. Requests for exemptions should be
approved by the requesting party’s unit/office head. For necessary University
operations, I ask the office heads (especially Finance Office, HRADO, PPO and
CITS) to work out a limited office and working schedule.
Work and classes in
all levels will resume on MONDAY, 07 January 2019. The PPO
personnel, however, will be asked to report on Saturday, 05 January 2019 to
prepare for the re-opening of classes and work at the Fr Salvador and Fr Kreutz
campuses.
As
we celebrate the Christmas season, let us continue to pray for healing of those
suffering from illnesses, the conversion of those afflicted with societal ills,
and for unity and peace in our city and country.
I
thank the community for your continued support and cooperation and wish you a
blessed and restful long break from work and classes with your loved ones and
families.
FR KAREL S SAN JUAN SJ
University President
