PAASCU reaccredits AdZU Junior High School Program
The Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and University (PAASCU) Board of Directors informed Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ, AdZU President in a fax message dated December 14, 2015, that:
“The High School Department is granted re-accreditation for five years, valid until December 2020.”
The Ateneo de Zamboanga University Junior High School welcomed the team of accreditors from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) for the resurvey visit last August 3 and 4.
Dr. Cynthia Arcadio, Chair, PAASCU Commission on Basic Education and Ms. Jocelyn Mabaylan, PAASCU representative with six other accreditors visited the Fr. William H. Kreutz, SJ Campus to evaluate the high school unit on the areas of Administration, Faculty, Curriculum and Instruction, Library, Laboratories, Physical Plant, Student Services, and School and Community.
Fr. Stephen T. Abuan, SJ, Principal of the Ateneo Junior High School, said that the PAASCU is good for the school because it provides us a common vision of what we would like to attain… and hopefully resulting in the same outcome: the vision of a new Mindanao at the heart of the new Philippines.
