ADZU PHIL – LiDAR 1 Attends the 36th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing

Quezon City – The International Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS) is an annual event organized by Asia’s largest society of remote sensing scientists and professionals, the Asian Association of Remote Sensing (AARS). The yearly ACRS is one of its major activities of promoting Remote Sensing.

This year the ADZU PHIL – LiDAR 1 Team participated individually in a combined 116 sessions. As well as having two RAs, Leonor Ycaza and Raymond Ong present their proposed mobile applications at the WEBCON.

The Project Leader, Mr. Mario S. Rodriguez co-chaired two sessions at the conference; one was for RS Applications: Hydrometeorological Hazards with Dr. Josefino Comiso of NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. And Other Remote Sensing Applications, together with Dr. Shin Akatsuka from the School of Systems Engineering of the Kochi University of Technology (Japan).

The theme for this year’s ACRS is Fostering Resilient Growth in Asia. Six RAs, the SRS and the Chief SRS as well as the Project Leader joined the conference held in Crowne Plaza from October 19 to 23, 2015.
