RE : AdZU SOM VIDEO AND POSTERS WINS IN GLOBAL FORUM
I congratulate the Ateneo de Zamboanga University School of Medicine (AdZU-SOM) for their winning video and poster entries in the Global Forum on Research and Innovation for Health 2015 Film Festival held on August 24-27, 2015 in Metro Manila, Philippines.
The film, “A New Breed of Doctors”, won Best Documentary Film, and was directed by Dexter D Dela Peña (ADZU BS Mass Communication, 2011).
The film festival was one of the highlights of the international forum — featuring film entries that tackled the forum’s themes on Social Accountability, Increasing Investments, Country- driven Capacity Building, Food and Nutrition Safety and Security, Health in Mega Cities and Disaster Risk Reduction.
I thank the AdZU-SOM under the leadership of the dean, Dr Fortunato L Cristobal and offer my warmest congratulations for this commendable achievement..
