RE: Appointment of Fr Gil C Donayre SJ as Chaplain for Basic Education
I would like to welcome Fr. Gil C Donayre SJ to the Ateneo de Zamboanga University. Fr Gil will be the new Chaplain for Basic Education of the University beginning 1 June 2014.
Fr Gil graduated from Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) with a BA in Economics . He joined the Jesuit Volunteers Philippines and was assigned in Bukidnon as community organizer for Indigenous People . In May 2001, he entered the Society of Jesus. As a Jesuit scholastic he taught college Mathematics, Theology, and Philosophy in the AdMU. He was ordained in April 2013 and was missioned to the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service as Assistant Chaplain. Fr Gil was born in Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur, and grew up in Cagayan de Oro City.
We wish Fr Gil all the best as he assumes this new mission of spiritual formation in our Grade School and High School Units.
