Renowned artist, Janine Michelle D. Cabato or “Ja Cabato” facilitated an Art Workshop on February 20 at the Fr. William H. Kreutz campus, Tumaga. This workshop was initiated by the Gallery of the Archipelago and the Peninsula.
It was participated by around 30 high school students from the Artique Circle. A short lecture on the history and forms of art was given by Cabato followed by the activity in the visual use of words and calligraphy using Ambigrams and Calligrams.
The objectives of the workshop are in line with the month’s celebration of art appreciation. It also aims to encourage the love of art among children and adults as well as to hone their talents in visual arts.
Each of the participants was given a doodle book which the artist made herself. The workshop started at nine in the morning and ended at 12 noon.
