MEMO TO: THE ADZU COMMUNITY
RE: NEW BASIC EDUCATION CHAPLAIN
I am pleased to inform our community that Fr Marlito G Ocon SJ is appointed as the new Basic Education Chaplain. His term of duty officially begins on 01 June 2013 through 31 March 2016. He will be assisted by Fr Florencio R Cuerquis SJ for the chaplaincy work in the Grade School.
Fr Ocon comes from Cortes, Bohol. He entered the Society of Jesus on 30 May 1999 and got ordained on 17 April 2010. He was the Parish Priest of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish in Culion, Palawan, before his assignment to AdZU.
I welcome and congratulate Fr Ocon. In addition, I thank him for his availability to be missioned here.
I would also like to thank Fr Edwin Gabriel Ma U Castillo SJ for his competent and dedicated work as Chaplain in the High School and as liturgist in our community worships. I thank Fr Cuerquis as well for his dedicated work as the Grade School Chaplain, although he continues to be part of the Grade School chaplaincy in his capacity as assistant to Fr Ocon.
