The Ateneo Cultural Dance Troupe was proclaimed champion and title holder of the Best Interpretative Dance for 2012 in the recent 21st National Inspirational Concert: Dance Tour of the Hypernova Society Productions Inc. The competition was held at the Vitaliano D. Agan Coliseum, Tetuan, Zamboanga City on September 14, 2012.
The winning contemporary dance routine of the Ateneo performers was accompanied by the song “Crusader’s Hymn,” the 2006 Catholic Mass Media Awardee for Best Religious Album. The ADZU contingent was composed of 14 dance troupe members who earned perfect scores from two of the adjudicators.
The group was trained and choreographed by Mr. Earl Francis C. Pasilan, Center for Performing and Visual Arts (CPVA) Moderator and School of Education faculty member.
