“Prepare the way, make straight His path”

It was summer of 2008 when I was invited to take a summer course in music at University of the Philippines, Diliman. My Superior initiated the move to give me an advance studies so that I would learn more about music.  I was so hesitant to accept the invitation because I was not yet ready and I am not prepared to this kind of situation.  My Superior would always ask me, are you prepared for this? To think of that this is one of the most prestigious schools in Luzon and most of the talented artist has been here.  In the end I have accepted the invitation, took the risk and learned a lot. I accepted the invitation, welcomed the opportunity and gained more about music and life.

As I have welcomed the opportunity, I also have grown maturely in the different aspects of my life. If God would ask us are we prepared to welcome the birth of Christ in our hearts? Are we ready to accept Him fully and be renewed?  These are questions that would always ask as we welcome Christ in this world through Christmas and celebrate for His coming. But do we really understand why we do celebrate this wonderful event?  As Catholic, let us be reminded that as Christ is born in this world, we are also invited to be born again in this world, to accept the invitation of renewal and welcome the opportunity to know Him deeply, to serve Him more and follow Him deeply.
