Intramurals 2011

A blast of wild cheers, the excitement etched in every one’s faces, the parade of the mighty classes with their banners held up high and the lightning of the torch signified the opening of one of the most exciting, thrilling and awaited events in the ADZU High School Campus every year — the Intramurals. This year’s Intramurals definitely satisfied the everyone’s thirst for fun right after the First Quarter examinations. The event started off with the parade of each class carrying their section banners proudly and was followed by the lighting of the torch by the national and international athletes. As expected, the ADZU High School faculty and staff didn’t hold up anyone’s excitement and expectations for the Cheer dance competition which started right after the parade. The intensity of the competition heated up for all year levels and gave spectacular performances which only shows that students have been working hard to excel and show their talents — truly the value of Magis. At the end, only one stood up from the crowd and gain the title of Best Presenter — the Third Year Cheer dancers. The sport competitions and the ‘Laro ng Lahi’ went on for two days.
The Intamurals seemed like an endless journey of fun, camaraderie and sportsmanship. Though the Intramurals just lasted for three days, the end was undeniably a blast. The last day was a collaboration of Pista sa Nayon , as part of the Buwan ng Wika celebration, and the championship of the different sports events. The ending program also showcased the talents of each year level in Pop dance. All dance groups gave great reasons for them to win but only one group proved that they were the ones who deserved to win — they were the Fourth Year Pop dancers. The results for this year’s Over-all Champion was given to the Juniors.
Truly, this intramurals showed how Ateneans do their best to show their skills and talents in competitions but still be able to live out the values of sportsmanship, camaraderie and Magis.
