William Cocks, the new Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer, US Embassy, Manila, met with the US Ambassador’s scholars in his maiden visit to the Ateneo de Zamboanga University.
Mr. Cocks and other members of the US Embassy staff were here for an essay writing competition and also to take part in the grand Iftar last Thursday and Friday, August 25-26, 2011. Both of these activities were sponsored by the embassy.
In his meeting with the scholars, he assured them of his full support and encouraged them to do well in their studies and to continue to be involved in community outreach programs.
