The Society of Ateneo Scholars under the support of the Office of Scholarships conducted a Medical and Dental outreach at Camp Susana, Upper La Paz last Saturday, March 6, 2010.
There were approximately 150 indigent residents who availed of the medical and dental services, provided mostly by EAAB medical and dental personnel as well as student nurses from the Ateneo College of Nursing.
This outreach program was made possible in coordination with the Ateneo Center for Community Extension Services, headed by Mrs. Loreta R. Sta. Teresa, Edwin Andrews Air Base, Kasanyangan Rural Development Foundation, Inc. represented by Alberto Alvin G. Valerio who is Head of Administrative Operations, and Barangay officials of Upper La Paz.
The scholars, headed by their president. Mark Francisco, together with Mr. Conrado Z. Balatbat, Office of Scholarships Director, also distributed over 200 pairs of slippers to the children in the area.
