INCENTIVE
PACKAGE FOR PUBLICATION

As an integral part of the research
process, publication has been identified as one of the major challenges of the
university. Apart from the creation of the Research and Publication Council, an
incentive package for publication was formulated to address this concern, and
further encourage the faculty and staff to do research and publication.

Application and Guidelines:

• A faculty/staff with a publication
  and wishes to apply for the incentive writes a letter to the ARC Director
  applying for the incentive package for publication. Attached to his/her
  application are photocopies of supporting documents: front page of the
  publication, table of contents, article / chapter of the applicant’s
  publication, description of the journal/book of publication.
• Review of the application will be
  made to assess the merits of the publication. The ARC Director, VP for Higher
  Education and VP for Basic Education will be tasked to review and approve
  applications for incentive package for publication.
• A congratulatory letter will be sent to applicants
  upon approval of the application. Then an honorarium will be released soon
  after. Please refer to the table below for the Type of Publication and its
  corresponding remuneration.
• A public presentation of the published material shall
  be required from the author which is usually schedule on a Research Conference
  / Forum sponsored and organized by the ARC.
