AdZU School of Ed faculty receives Alab ng Puso Award for Education

By Dr Dorothy Joan Lei Rabajante, School of Education Information Officer

Ateneo’s Educational Leadership Development Program (ELDP) coordinator, Professional Education Department Chair, and veteran faculty, Dr Anita R Tagadiad, receives the Gawad Alab ng Puso Award for Education for her contribution to instructional and managerial innovations to Claret School of Zamboanga City.

“This award reminds me that it is not in excelling that makes one truly human but the services to mankind does… The award symbol I have on my hand is a product of many people, so it is but filling to mention them. I thank my team in the School of Education at Ateneo de Zamboanga University who constantly gave their unconditional support whenever I have my consultancy work.”

Currently, Dr Tagadiad is the Coordinator of the Educational Leadership Development Program (ELDP) under the School of Education. The ELDP is engaged in the training of teachers and school leaders as well as consultancy for quality assurance of various private institutions in Zamboanga Peninsula and other regions. As ELDP coordinator, Dr Tagadiad has been known for her passion to educate pre-service and in-service teachers as well as her expertise in helping private schools prepare for accreditation.

The award was conferred last October 24, 2019, at the Valencia Ballroom, Palacio del Sur during the Feast Day celebration of Claret School of Zamboanga City in honor of its patron St Anthony Mary Claret.
