Re: Earthquake Drill on August 30, 2017
Date: August 25, 2017
Greetings of Peace!
With the recent spate of earthquakes happening all over the country, it is of even greater necessity that we hold a drill to prepare the school community here at Eusebio campus in case an earthquake strikes.
In this connection, we would like to advise members of the community to observe the following:
- Class pre-earthquake drill – SHS and College Faculty members should conduct this drill using the primer prepared by UCO for this purpose in any of your classes from August 25-29.
- Identification of Safe Zones – the offices should identify an area inside their office where people will be safe from falling debris or furnitures and fixtures.
- Identification of nearest exit – read the locator map installed at every floor of the buildings and follow the arrows that will lead to the exit nearest you.
- Locating the Assembly Area – there are four assembly areas which you can go to depending on where you are. A marker was installed on each area for your guidance.
We look forward to your cooperation as we prepare to conduct this earthquake drill. You may call the Office of Student Affairs at 2204 or the Vice President for Administration Office at 1006 for any inquiry or clarification.
Sincerely yours,
FR RICHARD V ELLA SJ
Vice President for Administration
