MEMO TO: THE ADZU COMMUNITY
RE: YEAR-END THANKS
At the close of this school year, I express my most heartfelt gratitude to the entire Ateneo de Zamboanga University community for a remarkable finish to a challenging but rewarding school year.
I take pride in the unity, dedication and courage shown by all the members of the University community (administrators, faculty, staff, students, parents, and alumni) in the face of adversity and crisis. Your resolute understanding and solid cooperation have made it possible for AdZU to hurdle through one of the most trying times in the University’s history.
Thus, the commencement exercises of the Basic and Higher Education units this year are especially meaningful, not only because they are my first as University President, but mostly because they symbolized our deep gratitude for the past year, and our resolve to move forward with courage and vision.
I therefore thank everyone behind the success of all the graduation ceremonies: the academic units headed by their Principals, Assistant Principals, Deans, and the Academic Vice President; the Central Services units, especially the Physical Plant Office, GS/HS/CO Registrar Offices and the University Security Office.
I look forward to the coming school year with hope and gratitude for another opportunity to work together in the service of our mission. May we also have a fruitful summer period to prepare for this school year.
Lastly, in this holy season of Lent, let us offer prayers for peace in Zamboanga City, in Mindanao and the rest of the nation.
Muchisimas gracias a todos!
FR KAREL S SAN JUAN SJ
University President
