The 21st Annual Benefactors- Scholars’ Gathering

The 21st Annual Benefactors- Scholars’ Gathering was held last Sunday morning, March 11, 2012 at the Multi-Purpose Covered Courts.

This is an opportune time for scholars to give their thanks to those who made their dream to study in the Ateneo de Zamboanga University a reality.

Present were representatives of private, corporate and state Scholarship Programs.

Fr Antonio F Moreno, AdZU President, Dr. Rebecca V. Fernandez, Academic Vice-president and Conrado Z. Balatbat, Director , Office of Scholarships were in attendance for AdZU.

The private and corporate scholarships represented were scholarship coordinators from the Vicente B. Bello Scholarship /Natasha (Ms. Narben Lasola, Mr.Emmanuel Fabellon and Crisanto Lañojan), Alfonso Yuchengco Scholarship Foundation (Ms. Aleli Bulawit),  Roberto Rojas- Alfredo del Rosario scholarship (Mr. Archie Arvin Rojas and Ms. Mercedita Rojas),  WMPC scholarship (Ms. Shower Magsino and Ms. MA. Melissa Margaret Banag),  Ateneo college Parents Council/ ACPC (Ms. Lyndie Lim, Ms.Lina Almonte and Mr. Wenceslao Montojo,Jr), Ateneo Alumni Scholar’s Association/ ASAA (Ms. Rosanna Villanueva) and the US Ambassador’s Scholarship (Mr. Alan Holst and Ms. Florabel Aureus).

For the State Scholarship program: The Commission on Higher Education/CHED (Ms. Rosanna Dalumpines and Ms. Theresa Salamanca) and Congressional District Financial Assistance Program (Cong. Ma. Isabelle Climaco-Salazar).

Two scholars, Ramonelle Charmaine Faustino and Jonald Utom , gave their words of thanks and Ms. Marie Claire Faustino, Charmaine’s mother spoke in behalf of the scholars’ parents.

Mr. Archie Archie Arvin Rojas and Mr. Alan Holst rendered their response for the benefactors.

Finally, Fr. Antonio Moreno, SJ gave the closing remarks.
