The Science, Information Technology, and Engineering Academic Organization (SITEAO) launched the SITEAO Days with the theme “Very Sweet, Very Cutesy” with an opening program held at the Multipurpose Covered Court (MPCC1) on September 12, 2024. A thanksgiving mass presided over by Fr. Richard V. Ella, SJ, kicked off the start of a year-long 20th anniversary celebration of the college with its anniversary slogan “Rooted in Faith, Growing in Purpose”.
Despite the unfavorable weather, the opening ceremony and thanksgiving mass were well-attended by the college’s students, faculty, and staff. The Griffins showed great enthusiasm, participating in yell competitions. The day was not only filled with joy and laughter but also had moments of reflection and meaning. Fr. Ella led a noon mass celebration, reminding everyone about the importance of forgiveness. He emphasized that forgiveness comes from within, and is something everyone deserves. Fr. Ella also urged everyone to see others through the eyes of faith, recognizing them as children of God, regardless of their actions. It was a powerful reminder that forgiveness is as crucial as gratitude in every celebration. The 20th celebration of CSITE reinforced that faith and purpose are at the core of everything we do. It was a remarkable start to the celebration, emphasizing unity, dedication, and camaraderie.
This special event is a testament to everyone’s hard work and dedication. It not only honored the past and present but also looked toward the future of the college. With faith as our guide, we will continue to strive for excellence in the years ahead.
