Red Cross inducts AdZU HS faculty and staff

Representatives from Red Cross Zamboanga Chapter, led by Glen Barredo and Micheal Angelo Guiroy, gave members of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University high school faculty and staff a two-day workshop on First Aid and Disaster Preparedness, March 23 and 24.
The event started with the introduction of Red Cross history and the goals of the organization. Essential information about sexually transmitted infection (STI) was also shared. Part two included techniques and methods in providing first aid and rescue response where the participants eventually had a simulation where they applied learned strategies in rescuing, transferring and treating victims and bandaging injuries.
All these were done in the light of one of the high school community’s aim to help equip both its teaching and non-teaching personnel how to properly respond and handle unwanted circumstances like accidents and emergency situations.
