Former AdZU President guests Summer In-Service Opening
Former Ateneo de Zamboanga University president, Fr. William H. Kreutz, made a surprise visit during the opening of the Summer In-Service of the high school faculty, May 3. He was introduced by Principal Fernandez to the new members of the faculty, after which, he gave a short talk. In his brief message to the teachers, Fr. Kreutz reiterated the need for everyone in the Ateneo community to be reminded of its vision and mission and to be living examples of its ideals. He then went for a short tour of the developments at the site and occasional photo ops with his former colleagues.
It was during his 16-year tenure as president that Ateneo achieved university status and that its high school unit moved to its present site in Tumaga. In honor of his sterling achievements, the high school campus is named after him.
