In a concerted effort to assess progress and pave the way forward, the College of Science, Information Technology, and Engineering (CSITE) held a two-day evaluation and planning session from April 4 to the morning of April 5 at the Autogrill Function Hall. The gathering brought together faculty and staff for a reflective and forward-thinking event focused on growth, collaboration, and strategic development.
Before the core members took a deep dive into previously established plans, Dr. Jocelyn Partosa, Dean of CSITE, delivered a short talk that set the tone for the day. She discussed key areas to focus on during the evaluation and shared insights on effective ways to approach the assessment process. To guide the reflection, she also provided thoughtful questions that helped everyone to look back with clarity and purpose.
The first day of the session was then dedicated to CSITE’s core members, who revisited past initiatives—some of which had been set into motion years ago. This retrospective approach allowed the team to track which initiatives had been successfully implemented and which ones remained as potential paths for the future. By understanding where each department stands today, the college was better positioned to create new strategies and directions moving forward.
As the day progressed, each department presented its insights on how the school year unfolded, highlighting successes and identifying areas for improvement. These presentations opened the floor for valuable feedback and collaborative brainstorming, transforming the function hall into a space of mutual support and shared vision.

Day two welcomed the participation of all CSITE faculty and staff. With everyone’s presence, departments revisited their strengths and weaknesses, embracing an open dialogue that encouraged reflection and constructive criticism. The sharing of experiences and findings throughout the morning sparked inspiration, pushing everyone to unlearn outdated practices, embrace new ideas, and refine existing ones.
The two-day event concluded with a simple yet meaningful get-together lunch—an opportunity for colleagues to connect more personally and strengthen their bonds beyond professional roles.
With renewed enthusiasm and a unified direction, CSITE looks ahead with hope and determination. The insights gained during the planning session are set to shape the college’s future—one that aims to better serve its students, empower its faculty and staff, and continue contributing to the ADZU community in impactful ways.
