Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU), in partnership with the Department of Education and Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC), hosted the 2019 Summer In-Service Training (INSET) Program for private Junior High School Teachers in Region IX and ARMM last April 8 to 10 at its newest educational training ground, the Faustino W Saavedra (FWS) Building, AdZU Salvador Campus.
Focused on “Designing, Assessing, and Facilitation Learning of the K-12 Standards with 21st Century Pedagogies,” the JHS INSET is a three-day, two-track (Regular and Advanced) subject training program that is designed for private school teachers from the 7th to the 10th grade levels, allowing them to earn credit units for the renewal of their licenses.
PEAC has been commissioned by the Department of Education to implement the INSET under its GASTPE Program, a platform that provides financial assistance to students and teachers to improve access to quality education and to decongest public schools. The PEAC is also an accredited PRC Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provider allowing the participants of the PEAC INSET program to earn CPD units for the renewal of their licenses.
