AdZU Conducts 2nd Summer Catechetical Program

The Religious Studies Department of the School of Liberal Arts conducted the 2nd Summer Catechetical Program on May 24- 26, 2010 at the Carlos Dominguez Hall with the theme “The Christian Faith we live by and teach”.

Fifty-five lay catechists from twenty five parishes who actively participated in the sessions, workshops and activities facilitated by faculty members of the department and other School of Liberal Arts professors: Rodel M. Salgados, Filemon G. Flores, Dr. Minda V. Santos, Rosana P. Solamo, and with Salvacion Hererra, coordinator of the Archdiocesan Cathechetical Apostolate (ACA)
The workshop was held in collaboration with the Archdiocesan Catechetical Apostolate( ACA).

The program culminated with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist with Archbishop Romulo G. Valles as the main presider together with Fr. Antonio F. Moreno, ADZU President, Fr. Jude Duncombe, ACA Director, and some parish priests from the Archdiocese as concelebrants.

This program is one way to strengthen ADZU’s collaboration with the Archdiocese of Zamboanga City.
