AdZU celebrates
Social Involvement Month 2014
The Ateneo de Zamboanga University College Department,
through the Advocacy Program of the Social Awareness and Community Service
Involvement (SACSI) office, celebrated the Social Involvement Month (SIMO) on
September. This year’s theme is “Pag-alala, Paghilom at Pagbangon” in
commemoration of the Zamboanga Siege last year.
SACSI organized a total of 70 alternative classes under four
clusters (environment, kakaibang kwisin, road trip and workshop) for the second
and third year students from all the colleges and schools of the university
from September 15 to 20. A total of 1,500 students enrolled in the alternative
classes.
Online enrolment to the alternative classes opened for
second year students on September 1 until September 3, and on September 4 until
September 6 for third year students. Validation period for second year students
was from September 4-6, and from September 8-10 for third year students. For
late enrollees, an enrolment and validation were scheduled on September 12. The
SIMO was formally launched at the College Lobby on August 27, and culminated at
the Bellarmine-Campion Lobby on September 27.
