On November 9, 2024, in collaboration with the College of Nursing, we celebrated the Nursing Academic Organization Days with a tree planting activity at the AdZU-ACES adopted area in Pasonanca Muruk.
The event also featured BS Biology students conducting biodiversity scanning and assessments as part of their thesis work, alongside volunteers from Ecowatch. The day continued with a trek into the watershed, where participants attended a seminar on the importance of protecting our natural resources, by the Office of the Community Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) through PAMO.
It also emphasized the significance of preserving the Pasonanca Natural Watershed, which was recently designated as the 52nd ASEAN Heritage Park, the 10th in the Philippines, and the first in the Zamboanga Peninsula.
Our planet, our responsibility — every small action counts. Let’s protect our Mother Earth!
