MEMO TO: UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
RE: ADDITIONAL SALARY INCREASE
At the institutional convocation last 27 June which kicked off the new school year, we presented the general situation of the University, along with our desire to work for better compensation and benefits for everyone.
In the regular Trustees’ meeting last Saturday (16 August), the Board studied our proposal vis-à-vis financial situation and projections, which considered critical factors like our loan obligations, the K-12 transition years, and others that will affect our financial sustainability.
I am pleased to announce that after deliberating on these matters, the Board has approved a salary increase of P1,000.00 effective second semester of SY 2014-2015. Although such increase was primarily intended to increase the basic starting salary, it will be given to everyone across the board. Depending on our financial robustness, we are also studying future increases that will consider degree levels and high performance as basis.
Thus, I urge everyone to continue working with us to strengthen our University in terms of our human resources and financial sustainability.
