Partnership and shared responsibility were at the heart of “Bagong Pag-Asa, Lahat Kasama: Strengthening Partnerships for Youth and Inclusive Education,” organized by the Ateneo de Zamboanga University through the Ateneo Learning and Teaching Excellence Center. The gathering brought together local government leaders, educational institutions, development partners, youth-serving organizations, and young leaders to affirm collective efforts in supporting inclusive education and employability pathways for young people in the region.
A central moment of the event was the recognition of youth-serving organizations (YSOs) that implemented community-based learning initiatives under the Learning to Earning Pathways Programme, in partnership with UNICEF Philippines. These initiatives reflect coordinated efforts to strengthen skills development, leadership formation, and work readiness among young people. Partner institutions were likewise acknowledged for sustaining collaboration that expands access to learning and opportunity.

The program also featured testimonies from youth participants who spoke about how mentorship, skills training, and leadership experiences shaped their educational and career decisions. Their stories grounded the celebration in lived experience, reminding partners that systems and agreements ultimately serve real journeys.

During the event, ALTEC formalized partnerships with the Department of Education Schools Division of Zamboanga City and theDepartment of Trade and Industry Zamboanga City through memorandum of agreement signing. These agreements reinforce institutional coordination in building clearer and more accessible learning-to-earning pathways.
More than a milestone gathering, “Bagong Pag-Asa, Lahat Kasama” affirmed a continuing commitment among institutions and communities to accompany young people with intention, structure, and shared purpose.
