AMADA holds Onsite Clinic for Home-based IDPs in Arena Blanco

The Ateneo Medical Assistance for Doctorless Areas (AMADA) held an Onsite Clinic for Home-based Evacuees in Arena Blanco. A total of 211 home-based evacuees availed of the free onsite medical consultation and free medications. The onsite clinic was held on August 14, 2014 from 9 AM to 12 Noon

at the Brgy. Arena Blanco Multi-purpose Hall. The Center for Community Extension Services, Ivy Kunting MD, and Afdal Kunting MD collaborated with the BLGUs and Purok Leaders of Arena Blanco to help make this event possible.

As a sign of the continuous support of the Ateneo in the recovery and rehabilitation efforts of the city government the Center for Community Extension Services, thru the AMADA program, ensured that medical services are accessible and available to home-based evacuees of the September Siege. Most of these services are more centered on evacuation and transitory sites, a privilege not equally shared by those who sought refuge with their families and/or friends at the height of the crisis.
