RE:XAVIER UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF LAW – ZAMBOANGA IN ADZU
I am very pleased to announce to you that the Legal Education Board (LEB) has approved the opening of the “Xavier University (XU) College of Law – Zamboanga” to be hosted by the Ateneo de Zamboanga University beginning in SY 2011-12. The College of Law will occupy the third and fourth floors of the new building at the back of the Brebeuf Gym, La Purisima Campus. I am appointing Atty Rosendo U Castillo Jr as the Associate Dean effective today until 31 March 2012. He will coordinate with and take cue from the XU College of Law Dean for the management and operation of this program.
I would like to thank the AdZU Board of Trustees, XU President Fr Jose Ramon T Villarin SJ and the following for all the preparatory work that led to the establishment of this program: Mr Roberto G Valerio, Dr Rebecca V Fernandez, Atty Rosendo U Castillo Jr, Atty Laisa Masuhud-Alamia, Atty Vicente Solis, Atty Marie Jade Ebol, Atty Maria Fe Gaugano, Atty Sharon Mae Sales, Atty Darlene Pajarito, Atty Briethner Amelda, and Atty Jihan El Edding – all members of the College of Law ad hoc committee, Ms Florinda T Tabanao, Main Library Director, and Mr Frances P Cantillo, College of Law administrative assistant.
