With an aim of “developing strategically focused private schools” in the region, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University through its Education Leadership Development Program (ELDP) held a three-day seminar workshop on school leadership and management. AdZU high school hosted thirty school heads, department chairs and administration officers from different private schools in Zamboanga Peninsula and the Sulu Archipelago for the said event.

Marion Guerrero and Hannah Osario (English), Espiridion Atilano, Jr. (Social Studies), Jerwyn Tabotabo and Jeffrey Barera (Science), Abigail Medina and Eric Jude Ysmael (Mathematics), Francis Rodolfo Marcial, Jr. (Filipino) and Maria Sara Velasco (Religio) were the nine faculty members that represented the host school.

Participants were treated to an in-depth understanding of management and leadership in the context of a school community, including contemporary definitions through Oscar Carzada, current ELDP director and former AdZU HS principal, and research-based decision-making and planning as discussed by HRDO director, Engr. Aldrina Hitalia.
