HELE
As part of a Filipino University, the Home Economics Education (HELE) aims:
1. to expose students to varied activities that develop in them the skills of organization and systematic planning, the value of creativity, resourcefulness, industry, the desire for functionality and concern for the environment;
2. to develop awareness of self-help habits and active participation in decision-making at home, in school, and in the community;
3. to help students in achieving healthy and wholesome family and community relationships; and
4. to develop an appreciation of what is truly Filipino by using indigenous materials in their projects.
As part of a Secondary Preparatory School, the Home Economics and Livelihood Education (HELE) aims:
1. to develop in the students logical, critical, and creative way of thinking;
2. to help them acquire basic skills in problem solving of actual situations: and
3. to train them to implement ideas and acquire skills in their various activities.
As part of a Catholic University , the Home Economics and Livelihood Education (HELE) aims:
1. to highlight the values of cooperation, honesty, tolerance, industry, patience and perseverance; and
2. to develop love, respect and appreciation for work.
As part of a Jesuit University, the Home Economics and Livelihood Education (HELE) aims:
1. to contribute to the total formation of the students through the development of their creative talents and aesthetic sense;
2. to train them in the proper use of common hand tools, equipment and materials and train them in the practical processes necessary in the family and community situation (service to others); and
3. to emphasize excellence in their work.
COMPUTER EDUCATION
As part of a Filipino University, the Computer Education Department aims:
1. to provide basic computer education to enable students to meet the challenges of computerization and advancement in technology in the world;
2. to develop awareness and concern in the students in the use of computer technology to solve relevant an d real-world problems;
3. to develop an appreciation of computer technology for the enhancement of the quality of life; and
4. to equip the students with basic computer knowledge and skills needed to become effective and productive members of society.
As part of a Secondary Preparatory School, the Computer Education Department aims:
1. to equip and prepare the students with the basic computer literacy needed in High School.
As part of a Catholic University, the Computer Education Department aims:
1. to develop in the students the love of God through the teaching of selected educational software; and
2. to develop in the students the right attitude towards computer literacy as a tool for applying logical and analytical skills in the life of a Christian.
As part of a Jesuit University, the Computer Education Department aims:
1. to contribute to the total formation of the students to tapping their creative skills in computer;
2. to develop in the students the awareness of being men and women for others through the sharing of acquired computer knowledge and skills;
3. to develop in the students the ability to reason and express oneself creatively through the use of their skills in computer; and
4. to develop in the students the habit of patience and accuracy to achieve excellence.
