Painter Rameer Amilasan Tawasil will mount his 5th solo exhibit, a retrospective to mark his 20-year career as one of the most distinctive painters in Mindanao.
The exhibit, “Tawasil: In Retrospect”, will be launched at 6pm on February 24, 2010 at the Gallery of the Peninsula and the Archipelago (GPA) of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University. It will run until March 27.
The exhibit is part of the activities lined up by the gallery to mark its 3rd anniversary and to celebrate the “National Arts Month”.
The exhibit will showcase Tawasil’s work over the years. Several privately owned works has been lent to the gallery for this exhibit. There will also be new paintings on display.
“Tawasil: In Retrospect” is being sponsored by Jette and Sonia Arenas , PSSupt Mario and Dra Ma Ruth Yanga, Dr. Crispin Dalisay and Family Fried Chicken.
