The Ateneo de Zamboanga University recently-concluded Alumni Homecoming was marked by a show of gratitude by alumni to their alma mater, alongside fun and laughter, merry-making, fellowship, feasting on food and drink, and of course, prayer.
Thankful for the kind of education and formation they have received from AdZU, the alumni expressed that they would wish others to also experience the same opportunity to be blessed with a good education coupled with formation. Thus, a seed money of 250,000.00 has been donated to the University to fund scholarships, by the College Class of 1979, and two batches from Class 1989 and Class 1994 of the College of Nursing.
In separate occasions, the groups of alumni handed over their checks: Php 100,000 from the College Ruby Jubilarians of 1979 during the Blue and White Night on December 1, 2019 at Palacio del Sur; another Pho100,000 from the Nursing Phoenix Class 1989 celebrating their 30th anniversary from graduation, during their Gala Night held November 30, 2019, at the same venue; and Php50,000 from Bachelor of Nursing Silver Jubilarians Class of 1994, also held November 30, 2019, at LM Hotel.
