AdZU Class of ’79, ’83 lives out Ignacian Value of Generosity

With compassion for hundreds of families that were evacuated the previous week due to flash floods brought about by heavy rains, a joint outreach of AdZU batches GS’79 and HS’83 turned over some 30 sacks of rice to the Tumaga Barangay Center last September 20, 2019.

This came about from a spontaneous influx of donations coming from batch members in and outside the city, heeding a call of active citizenship from GS ’79 and HS ’83 Valedictorian Joseph Roderick B Lledo, to provide some relief goods to evacuation centers.

The sacks of rice were gladly received by Barangay Officials, staff and volunteers who were timely repacking food items for distribution to the evacuees. Members of the batch led by President Fertie G Garcia DMD, acquired and delivered the donation personally.
