100: Ciento team, all set for the shows

“We’re ready, I think we’re ready”, storyteller-director Mr. Kiko Miranda confidently claims on their last two days of rehearsal for the most awaited musical play entitled “100: Ciento” which will start this Friday, February 22, 2013 up to February 24, 2013 at the ADZU Brebeuf Gymnasium.

The production team, which is composed of 40 cast and crew, has started working on the play since December 2012 by attending workshops and undergoing tough auditions. Miranda hopes that the musical play will be as successful as Rated V, a play that he also produced in the University a few years ago. “It is different from Rated V because it is not about love. It’s about Ateneo. It is about what it really means to be an Atenean”, he added.

According to Demmi Kaye Resurreccion of BA Communication, one of the stage managers of the play, a lot of preparation was done to make this event successful. The cast and crew start their rehearsal from 6PM-10PM weekdays and 9AM-6PM weekends. The work is doubled because many changes and improvements are expected, “It has films, animations, and the music is originally composed and played by the students”, explained Ryan Murcia, the play’s Assistant Director.

The play will be staged for 3 days to give all students, faculty and staff, alumni and even non- Ateneans opportunity time to watch it. It will officially start this Friday, February 22, 6PM at the Brebeuf Gymnasium. Tickets are available in the El Consejo Atenista, Formation Office and Campus Ministry Office weekdays from 8AM-5PM and Saturdays 8AM-12NN.
