SDUs kick off the SY 2014-2015 with a Planning Activity
The directors and program officers of the social development units of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University convened for a planning activity on June 10, 2014 at the LM Metro Hotel Zamboanga City.
The following Social Development Units were represented during the session – Ateneo Peace Institute (API) led by Ms Arlene Ledesma, Center for Community and Extension Services (CCES) led by Ms Loreta Sta Teresa, Ateneo Center for Leadership and Governance (ACLG) led by Ms Aurora Gonzales, Social Awareness and Community Service Involvement (SACSI) led by Mr Mayo Enriquez, Ateneo Center for the Culture and the Arts (ACCA) led by Mr Kiko Miranda. The AdZU High School formation and social development officer Ms Ruth Guerrero, university communications officer Ms Mary Rose Jean Andrada, and university planning coordinator Mr Ralph Chua were also present.
The session was facilitated by Father President Karel San Juan SJ. Among the important topics discussed were the changes in the focus and organizational structures of the different units, consolidation of plans and activities, and preparation for the university’s commemoration of the September 2013 Zamboanga siege. The group has agreed to meet once a month for follow up and updates.
