SDC launches Sing Giting
Social Development Council (SDC) launches “Sing Giting”, a song writing and singing competition. This is in celebration of the University’s one hundred years of Excellence, Spirituality, and Citizenship. All Ateneans are invited to join the song writing and singing contest. In consonance with the Year of Citizenship’s main theme, “Ateneo, Duyan ka ng Magiting”, this music event aims on harvesting creativity from the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the Ateneo. Performance day will be on July 27, 2011.
Interested participants are requested to attend the contest orientation on Friday, July 01, 3PM, at the Student Activity Center, New College Building of the Ateneo La Purisima Campus. For more inquiries, you may visit the Social Awareness and Community Service Involvement (SACSI) Office at the AdZU La Purisima Campus and look for Joan Mae Barredo, or call 991-0871 local 2224-2225.
The winning piece will become the official theme song of the Ateneo’s Centennial Jubilee Celebration.
The Ateneo is on its third consecutive year of celebrating its 100 years of Excellence, Spirituality, and Citizenship. This academic year, the institution is highlighting the Year of Citizenship with the theme “Ateneo, Duyan ka ng Magiting”, believing that the Ateneo is a cradle of heroic and engaged citizenship, moved by a spirituality that takes excellence seriously. And the university wishes to harvest fruits of this tradition through creative production and “Sing Giting” is just one of the events that all Ateneans must look forward to.
