RE: PRO DEO ET PATRIA AND HONORIS CAUSA RECIPIENTS
I am very pleased to announce to our community that in the forthcoming Commencement Exercises on 24 March 2012 in the Tertiary Level, AdZU will confer upon Mr Ramon R del Rosario, President and CEO of PHINMA, the Honorary Doctorate in Humanities and Archbishop Romulo G Valles DD, Archbishop of Zamboanga, the Pro Deo et Patria Recognition. Mr del Rosario, apart from his entrepreneurial leadership, is committed to social development in the country and has championed the cause of anti-corruption campaign. Abp Valles, on the other hand, is recognized for his contributions to the Mindanao church and society through his work as Rector of St Francis Xavier Regional Major Seminary in Davao City, as Bishop of the Diocese of Kidapawan and as Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Zamboanga. He leaves the Archdiocese of Zamboanga in May to assume the leadership of the Archdiocese of Davao. He will be greatly missed by the AdZU community and the Archdiocese of Zamboanga.
I congratulate Mr del Rosario and Abp Valles for their commitment to serve the welfare of our people.
