SUBJECT: New University Security Chief
I am happy to inform the community of the appointment
of MR
MARVEN R GALLEGO as our new University
Security Chief effective April 16,
2018.
Mr Gallego has retired recently from active service in the Philippine
National Police (PNP), where he served for more than two decades (1996-2017) in
various capacities as intelligence officer, case officer and investigator, and
was assigned in or detailed to different sub-units and groups of the PNP.
Aside from completing highly specialized police
trainings and executive courses, he also holds a degree in Political Science
from the Western Mindanao State University (1994).
He is a recipient of several recognitions for his
achievements in the Police Force such as: Outstanding PCTC Employee (2013),
Medal of Bravery (CPNP, 2010), PRO9
Junior Police Officer of the Year Award (2004), Medal of Heroism (SILG, 2004), Ten
Outstanding PNP in Zamboanga City (2003), Best Police Investigator (2001). More recently, he was awarded the Paddle of
Appreciation by PNP SAF Seaborne (2017) and Service Award Citation as Class
Marcher FTODP (2016).
I take this opportunity to thank MR FRANCIS JAY S LLENADO, for his five
years of generous and dedicated service (2012-2017) as University Security
Chief and his leadership in the USO during some of most challenging times of
the University.
